After more than 25 years of operation the end of life for Pine Ridge has arrived. October 2005 was the last month of running and members made the most of it.
Pine Ridge resides on private property and the owners have decided to repurpose the shed where the club layout was built.
While there was time some publicity was sought for the club to try and get another premises. Two articles in the press were written and published. Fortunately Nillumbik Council stepped in with suitable accommodation located centrally in Eltham.

Day Run, 13-Oct-2005

31st October 2005 Night Session
Tonight’s video also features some of the members and friends, as well as the trains making use of Pine Ridge for the second last run. Time is running out.
7th November 2005 Last Running Night
The last running night. After providing 25 years of railway pleasure to members and visitors with some drinks and nibbles it is time to say good-bye to Pine Ridge. The next time members come to Pine Ridge it will be dismantled.
Note that some buildings have already been removed including Broughton station, Pine Ridge station and the engine shed near the pier. The rest was removed twelve days later.
